This year (2012-13), our study is entitled “Dispatches to God’s Household”. We will study the General Epistles (1-2 Peter, 1-3 John, & Jude) through the metaphor of “family”, which was used extensively by the early church. These letters address distinctions and behaviors of church family members – not always easy, or without controversy. Join us as we search for today’s application of the scriptural text.
Morning sessions will meet at Barbara Varenhorst’s home at 350 Grove Drive in Portola Valley. We gather for food and fellowship at 9:00 am. Study is from 9:30 to 11:00 am.
Duplicate evening sessions meet the same Wednesday at VPC in Mark’s office. Study is from 5:30 to 6:30 (without food).

Rise and Shine Bible Study "Rise and Shine" is a small group Bible Study led by the pastor in the Fireside Room at Church on Tuesday mornings. We gather year-round (except during the month of August) at 7:00 a.m. for a casual breakfast with social time and hymns followed by Bible study from 7:30 to 8:15 am. Participants take turns bringing breakfast refreshments, and coffee is provided. The study covers the scripture that will be used for the following Sunday's worship service. Bible Study at the Sequoias
Every Wednesday morning during the school year from 11 am to noon, a small group meets for Bible study in Parlor 3 of the Sequoias in Portola Valley. Led by the pastor, the study covers the scripture that will be used for the following Sunday's worship service. Each study stands alone, so come join us at any time. Check the church calendar to confirm, especially during the holiday times.
