2013-2014 Horizon Women's Bible Study is called "An Abiding Hope: The
Presence of God in Exodus and Deuteronomy". This year we will explore
the Old Testament journey taken by God's people into the wilderness, in
order to listen, discern and discover God's Presence within our own
journeys of faith.
This monthly bible study is held on the 3rd Wednesday through the school year (some exceptions), and will begin on September 18th.
Morning sessions will meet at Barbara Varenhorst's home at 350 Grove
Drive in Portola Valley. We gather for food and fellowship at 9:00 am. Study is from 9:30 to 11:00 am. Duplicate evening sessions meet the same Wednesday at VPC in Mark's office. Study is from 5:30 to 6:30 pm (without food).
"Rise and Shine" is a small group Bible Study led by the pastor in the Fireside Room at Church on Tuesday mornings. We gather year-round (except during the month of August) at 7:00 a.m. for a casual breakfast with social time and hymns followed by Bible study from 7:30 to 8:15 am.
Participants take turns bringing breakfast refreshments, and coffee is provided. The study covers the scripture that will be used for the following Sunday's worship service. Each study stands alone, so come join us at any time. You are always welcome! For more information please contact Cathy Paniagua at the Church office.
