Worship and Theater Arts

Theater is an important ministry at VPC.  It provides a way for our church family and extended community to touch the lives of others and express themselves creatively.  We welcome the wider community onto our church grounds and into our productions, and we hope that they find a church home and a community of friends in the process.

Theater is regularly incorporated into our worship services through dance, song, and drama. The arts provide a context to help people engage with and experience the Holy in fresh and profound ways. Through the arts, we believe we are given a unique way to draw close to the heart of God.

Full-scale theater productions are staged through the Portola Valley Theater Conservatory, our non-profit community arts organization, and take place in our on campus theatre.   We seek to present quality works that are hopeful and transformational, created for both adult and youth actors and singers.  After-school theatre classes are available for children.
