Since 1990, VPC has sent mission groups to our sister church in Tekax, Mexico, to experience what it means to truly live in the love of God. In addition to construction-oriented adult trips (with a few youth coming along), there have been two youth-oriented trips (the most recent in Summer 2008), and one Women's Retreat.
Our latest endeavor is a partnership to install a Living Waters for the World water filtration and purification system on the MdS grounds in Feb 2010, providing their congregation with clean water. Read about our success here.
San Francisco Network Ministries (SFNM) has been active in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco for more than 35 years. Executive Director Reverend Glenda Hope. spends a good deal of time providing pastoral care for those living with AIDS, drug addiction, mental illness and other issues related to poverty. She provides posthumous recognition, performing memorial services for those who have died alone, unmourned and, sometimes, unknown. Learn more about San Francisco Network Ministries
