Fellowship Activities

Fellowship activities occur throughout the year and include after church bar-be-cue lunches, evening gatherings, retreats, and Family Night dinners. Our Footprints dinners are a terrific way to expand your group of friends at VPC while enjoying fun, food, and fellowship.

During Advent, enjoy a delicious soup dinner while listening to wonderful "Christmas Confections" presented by our many talented members.  The evening culminates in the flaming of the Figgy Pudding. This is a great evening, fun for the whole family!

And, also during Advent, don't miss our annual White Elephant Christmas Party, where a capacity crowd gathers to exchange and re-exchange "gifts" as well as share food and libations.

In June of each year, our talented VPC musicians, poets, dancers, singers, and other brave souls entertain us at an evening Coffee House in Lane Family Hall, accompanied by wonderful desserts and great company.

Knit Us Together Crafting Circle

Do you love to knit, or crochet, or cross stitch, or bead?  Why not join our group and take some time for your projects....  Join us for a simple soup or salad supper at 6:30 pm followed by an hour (7-8-ish pm) of crafting on your own project. Odyssey

Our young adult group for college alumni started in October, 2009! Our time is spent getting to know each other, eating dessert, growing spiritually, and playing games. There is a core of about 10 people, and we welcome more! We meet monthly (during the school year) at member's homes on Sunday evenings. Ask or email Ashley for meeting dates and time.

Wise Women's Lunches

If you are a woman of retirement age you are welcome to join the “Wise Women” of VPC. We meet quarterly for lunch at the church or at a hoe at 12:00 noon (usually) on the third Friday of January, April, July, and October.  Our gatherings are informal. Bring your own sandwich and come prepared for conversation, sharing of ideas, and to get to know other retirement age women at VPC. Dessert and drinks will be provided by the hostesses. Our discussion topic will be "What do you want in your basket in the next five years?" Please join us if you are a woman of retirement age and would like to share an informal hour of fellowship with other retirement age women.

Annual Women's Retreat

Each March, the women of VPC gather at lovely Villa Maria del Mar in Capitola for a weekend of fellowship and worship.  See details and schedule here.

Monthly Men's Breakfasts

Once a month, on a Saturday morning, the men of VPC gather at a home for breakfast and fellowship.  If you would like to join in, please email Mark, and watch the What's New page for the next breakfast time and place.
