Spiritual direction is an opportunity to spend an uninterrupted hour reflecting on your individual experience of God with a person of faith. It is peace filled sacred time.

In some ways, the art of spiritual direction lies in uncovering the obvious in our lives and in realizing that everyday events are the means by which God tries to reach us. There is poetry in the spiritual life that we lead, but so often we are so caught up in the day to day issues of survival that we fail to listen. God in continually inviting us to draw closer, and we are a partner in the mystery of creation.

RISEN spiritual directors have received extensive formation training; each brings with them their unique mix of perspectives, skills, experience and training. One is an ordained minister; others are lay people. It is important that you find the right match in a spiritual director.

A typical spiritual direction rhythm is a meeting once a month for one hour.
