We're in this Together

ALL HANDS ON DECK.

A base camp is not just a place to go out from. It requires teamwork to make it run effectively. There are so many ways to contribute at VPC; from shaking hands on Sunday morning to throwing a party, from delivering meals to telling stories to five year olds, from making sure the numbers add up to gathering a group of friends for a dinner.

Email us if you are an individual who feels called to be part of the VPC community and we’ll work with your schedule to incorporate you into the Base Camp operations.

Earth Care Team

INTEGRATING EARTH CARE INTO CHURCH LIFE

Our Earth Care Team supports VPC’s desire to care for the earth in a holistic way. The Presbyterian Church (USA) “finds that the Christian mandate to care for Creation and the biblical promise of the restoration of right relationships between God, human beings, and the rest of Creation impels and inspires us to act to reduce our energy usage” and “that the urgency, injustice and seriousness of this issue calls us as Christians to act NOW and to act boldly.”
In 2021, our intergenerational team worked with staff to achieve designation as a Presbyterian Church (USA) Earth Care Congregation and continues to pursue action and advocacy on behalf of our world.
